Masterbrand proposition & global campaign
It Starts with Food
Tetra Pak sells advanced food production systems but is still known as a packaging company, and the gap was keeping it out of the categories where it needed to grow. The company had to decide whether it was a great engineering company that works with food, or a food company that has great engineering. This campaign made the case for the second, and connected one brand story to every category underneath it.

The brief
The brief
Since 1951, Tetra Pak has been known as a packaging company.
But by 2024, the business had become something else: end-to-end food production systems including recipe development, processing, filling, packaging, logistics, and service.
The perception gap limited growth. In growing categories like prepared foods, protein and ready-to-drink coffee, Tetra Pak wasn't even in the consideration set. Meanwhile the business scorecard asked for two things: protect the core in dairy and juice, and win in growth categories. The brand was helping with neither.
A great engineering company that works with food, or a food company that has great engineering? We decided to focus on food.
The approach
The approach
The proposition built on the brand's purpose to commit to making food safe and available and their promise to protect what's good. And it told the story of how food doesn't just happen. It has to be planted, produced, processed, packaged and protected. Almost all of that work is invisible, and all of it is made possible by Tetra Pak.
The work ran from positioning narrative and message framework through internal communication to a global brand campaign and a series of category campaigns, launched across 28 markets.
